Many times when people choose to get a Manchester terrier, they are not sure of what type of personality the dog will have or most importantly what their quirks will be. However, the personality quirks of a Manchester terrier are similar to those of other terriers.
In general, the Manchester terrier personality is usually delightful and happy. Most often you will see that they are lively, very loyal, and entertaining dogs. Another personality quirk that many people do not like about the Manchester terriers are that despite the small size of the dog, they tend to become very aggressive towards other dogs; no matter what size the other dog is. Many times they may also become aggressive towards other dogs in their home as well as in a dog park. In fact, they will become aggressive if they at all feel threatened. Along with the Manchester terriers becoming aggressive, some of them are very snappish and difficult around people, as well. In fact, for most Manchester terriers it is best that they are not around children or large groups; as they may bite if they feel threatened.
No matter what type of personality quirk your Manchester terrier has, it is very simple to get rid of if you want to. In fact, the best way to get rid of those personality problems that he/she may have is by taking them to a socialization training; and keep to the training. However, the most important thing to show your dog is that you love them no matter what. Love is the best cure for any personality quirk they may have that is undesirable.
