We do not mate relatives it only creates health issues. Our Cotons are not registered with the AKC as the registration is only for foundation stock. Check for yourself at www.akc.org and look under FSS breeds then the Coton de Tulear --- don't be mislead by breeders telling you your Coton puppy will be registered with the AKC. The AKC has not accepted the Coton de Tulear as of this date. There are many countless professional breeders and breeders of Europe that are against the breed being accepted by the AKC, as some Americans are making changes to the Coton de Tulear, like adding a mix to create a tall/long legged Coton de Tulear and Cotons of solid black and brown. These type of Cotons are UNHEARD of in all countries except the United States.

Healthy, Beautiful, Loving Coton de Tulear puppies. Raised in our home living with our adult Cotons since birth. Fully socialized, knowing all the normal sounds of the house hold, radio, music, television, people coming and going.
Blood lines are from all the Coton de Tulear kennels well known from around the world. Cartoonland, Woodland Cottage, Blue Moon Cottage, Cotonbrie.
We have tri color, black and white and white with creme and all white. 10% of all pure Cotons born are black and white, 31% of Cotons are born tri color, 59% are the white/creme or white. Normally we have all three colors in each litter. We do work with breeders if interested. We register with CKC, UKC, ARBA. We do not register with the AKC as it is only for foundation stock purposes, and really does not benefit the breed. In the years to come the AKC will eventually accept this rare and wonderful breed.
We do wire cage train the puppies, they love their time spent sleeping with toys, blankets and towels, taking naps in their cages when they want -- they just walk in and stretch out and fall asleep -- so precious.
Our puppies are taught to go outside to potty, we do not use paper pads, chemical treated pee pads, newspaper or litter box. If you wish to train to pads, litter box or newspapers that is not a problem. It is much easier to reverse the puppy to puppy pads then the other way around.
Socialization begins as soon as the puppies are born. We start working with the babies, talking to them, playing music and the TV in the background ---- this makes for a very relaxed puppy. No fear of sounds, movement or house hold sounds. This makes the puppy so much more relaxed and ready to be part of the family "immediately".
Our three adult Cotons are evaulated by our Veternarian twice each year. Blood panels and a total twelve point exam. Then the normal exam when yearly injections. All the mating/breeding takes place at our Veternairans office.
We are very lucky in that our Cotons do not need meds for fleas, ticks and heartworm. Thus, less chemicals being exposed to our puppies prior to birth and afterward.
We have three females and one male. Recently we imported two females and they will soon be leaving our home on their way to the show ring -- and will be living with our handler. At one time we handled our dogs in the show ring, but now as senior citizens --- we just don't have the ability to handle our dogs in the ring the way we have in the past.
