Ok, I am wanting to treat my yard with BORAX. It is stated the it kills giardia and hookwom eggs and fleas when put down at 10#/100sq ft.
First, what and where do you get borax.
Secondly, people say they use it in kennels to prevent fleas also-Do you have to have the dog out when it is put down.
Third, if you take the dog out when do you put him/her back. do you water this stuff or something??
I have researched this and maybe I am overthinking this but I want to be sure when putting a chemical down where my dogs walk.
Why is it-you can meet a stranger on the streets and start sharing your stories about each others dogs and leave that same street friends?? They are like a bag of Chips-You can't just have one!!!

Where did you find the info that Borax would kill all those pests, especially hookworms? Just curious to know, since they are so hard to get rid of.

You can google it. I have found it on most "vet.org"(not the name of a site I think just example". What I do not know is do you remove the dogs, if so how long, do you water this stuff down. I have found out since posting that is is the same as 20 mule team detergent a laundry booster found at grocery store. All site say it kills the eggs which is AWESOME but the application is nowhere to be found. I also see 1%bleach at 1/4cup per gallon can be used. I think I might do this. As it will dry and that is fairly mild.

I know that the killer dose of sodium borate is 10 pounds to every 100 square feet, especially in gravel runs. I googled Borax, and sure enough, it is made of sodium borate.
Do you have hookworms now, or are you afraid of getting them?
Was that a little Boston I saw on your avatar?There is a lot more info on hooks that I could give you, but I'll wait until you ask me.
The one answer I do have, is yes, you would certainly move the dog from the environment when treating it. You would then have to treat that second environment.

pen would you water the borate down. I understand it is a "fat" powder substance. then when can you introduce the dogs again?
