Chinese Cresteds

We bought Hula as a puppy & in general haven't had any problems. He absolutely loves our family. Here's the big problem & just today it got compounded 1000 times worse. Hula has always been a monstrous barker(something I did not know about this breed). The barking only comes if he is outside & hears something or someone. He'll be in the house & will bark non-stop if anyone is near our house...and it's very loud barking. He jumps at the window & the door. He is relentless. I never knew that I should be completely afraid of what he might do until today. The nieghbor kids were outside playing & my kids were coming in the front door...we'll Hula goes running out the door & goes after the 4 yr. old nieghbor boy & what looked to me like biting him in the back of the legs & jumping at him. I had to scream & my husband had to run out the door. Now I've had to go apologize to my nieghbor & I feel absolutely awful. I went to see if the boy was ok & it's unclear if Hula bit or scratched him....but to me, that really isn't the point. I'm scared that Hula could really hurt someone. He is extrememely agressive & has been agressive with the maintenance man & also with me...I'm not sure if it's that he feels threatened or if he is trying to protect his family. Whatever the case is right now....if I were the neighbor Mom, I would have already called someone about the situation that happened with the dog. That has me very scared that someone could take Hula from us. Can anyone advise me please....as my whole family is now panicked that someone might come to take Hula away.

Nothing like a shock color to tame the barking. Why we never got one before, I'll never know. It doesn't actually shock like electric...it buzzes when he goes to bark...stops him in his tracks. It is a miracle!~
