Hello,

New dog owner.

Our dog, Holly, (new from local shelter) has an upset tummy.

Took to vet, received examination, famotidine injection, cerenia injection, intestinal parasite exam.

Holly seems better, but does this happen often?

We are giving her small amount of food every 6 hours. white rice, chicken (boiled) and chicken both.

Holly is 6 years old, very sweet. She was fine until 4 days ago.
We take her to dog parks, long walks every day.

It is great that you took her to vet, and if she worsens I would go to the vet again.

It could be... may be she picked something up from being out and about, or maybe she even got into something while you were not looking.

Worse case senario would be onset of other internal problems, being she is now middle aged, but do not stress yourself out over that, just be aware, so you keep an eye on how her body is working how it should be.

I am sure she will be fine just watch her and if she gets worse go to your vet again.

Dogs can swallow the smallest thing and get an upset tummy, pieces of toys, getting into the trash ect.
