So, my friends always tease me about "huffing" bleach. No, not what you might think. I am a bit addicted to using bleach to clean. With the two dogs, hubby and a host of visiting grandchildren, they can wreck havoc on my white tile floors in about a minute flat. I always lock the dogs and other humans out and suffer the fumes alone.

Same friends who have always teased me about my bleach habit talked me into buying a Shark steam cleaner for the floor. My problem was the fact that so MUCH of my floor is the white tile, I used the 2 pads that came with it on half of a room!

I looked at the prices for additional pads and decided I could make the suckers for less than $10.00 each, so planned on breaking out the sewing machine on my summer vacation. Well...I was playing on eBay earlier and found the blasted pads for what works out to about $4.00! I am so happy! I ordered 10 of them, which should make things a whole lot easier than finishing 1 room, washing the pads and then waiting until their done to get to the next room.

I am using it on the ceramic tiles with grout. WHITE ceramic tiles with WHITE grout (arghhhhhhhh).

good luck pyrmom...that very reason is why I got rid of my white tile floors...I couldn't keep them looking clean. Working full time, 2 kids, and 4 furry kids makes it difficult to keep clean. Let me know how the extra pad thing works out. Best of luck...at least you will not be burning your nose hairs..ha ha....

Gads, the nose hairs have been gone for ages! lol! I think I've actually burned off the eyebrows and eyelashes a few times. With the additional pads I will be able to just pop that sucker out and steam the tracks left behind.

Around here, black sandy dirt = a constant pattern of black muddy paw prints (canine and hubby/human alike).
