Hi,I have an 8 year old Weim named Beaux that I have had since the day he was born because his poor mother passed away giving birth. Anyway... he is the most calm, quiet, sweetest dog EVER!! He has never been a behavior problem (his worst being eating a whole loaf of bread!) but within the last 6 months he has started peeing on items in my house- laundry hampers, a wall in my hallway and my brick fireplace. We did get a new puppy about a year ago (female) and I am pretty sure that's when his behavior started but we have had other puppies in the past that were both male and female but he never exhibited this behavior. I do not want to crate him all day while I am at work because he is such a big guy (90-100 lbs and very tall). Our little puppy seems to have such a dominant personality and I was wondering if that has some impact on him feeling like he doesn't belong or like he needs to make sure she knows that the house is his... I just don't know what to do to stop the peeing!! It is not just a little sprinkle when he goes and I end up having to break out the shampoo vacuum every day. He is like one of my children and I have always treated him like he is very special. I don't want to be angry at him.
