Ears.

Do they affect the hearing?

Do the Basset Hound's long, droopy ears affect its hearing? Does the feature attract hearing complications? Or is this all just a myth? I'm confused.

Its a myth. Basset hounds can hear just fine but they are an independant breed and my CHOSE to ignor you. Their floppy ears can mean more ear infections since there isnt much air flow. However, that often depends on how well you take care of their ears (cleaning) and the individual dog. Our basset has only had one ear infection is 3 years.
