You're welcome :) Just be sure to feed them off whenever they turn to pupa and you shouldn't have to worry about beetles.

Hahaha. Yes, it's completely normal for them to "mutate." It's a natural part of their life cycle. See, mealworms aren't actually "worms" at all, they are the larval form of the darkling beetle. This "mutation" you are seeing is actually their pupal ...
