to the most handsome dude MY Pono Iesu Kealii PONO

Born Xmas morning in Haiku, Maui aproximately 10AM 1997. Saw him get born! Number 4 or 5 out of my only girl dog, Hoe was her name. Lab Pitbull mix. I called her my Popolo Beauty Queen since she was a pup! pulled the lab in looks all black with white markings on her back feet. Beauty Queen's third litter of TEN puppies that she had twice. ten pups is the most a dog can produce. She gave birth to 7 healthy pups the first time. Born to be a mom. I owned her brother., and a golden retriever too. I honestly did not need another dog. Yet when she gave birth to Pono, on Xmas morning it was the Xmas from heaven 1997. If I sold him or gave him away then someone else would have owned the most handsome dude. So I kept him and he is gone now, and I can't get over it completely. I love all my dogs so much but he was a freckle away from being my very own son. Which I do have one son. I loved Pono and he loved me so very much. He had his real mom and me most of his life as she passed away before he did. Losing him has been the hardest death since my dad died in 1994. And well Pono passed away May 11th which is my dad's birthday and it was mothers day too 2008. I love my Pono and would give anything to be with him again. I hope somehow I can be when my life ends. Oh that would make life worth it. We all have only one guarantee at birth and that is death. I think death is something to never be afraid of and welcome it. Hopefully all will be wonderful and we can see our loved ones that we miss. Pono is my number one to see and then everyone else. Yes daddy, Pono first! Just can't help it - I am honest and I miss my Pono so so much and I am so glad I owned him. He was 85 - 90 pounds. Long story but he weighed even more and not from overfeeding. Too long of a story. His tribute is to the most good looking dog that I ever owned or even seen. I have seen a few as good looking but not better looking and even tho looks are not everything, it sure made me proud to hear everytime I took him out how good looking my dog is. Pono. Iesu means Jesus in Hawaiian and Kealii was a last name. He was registered as Pono Samson as that is my last name that I was born with and I will die with it. I love you Pono and I miss you like the desert misses rain, like the beach without sun. I love you so so much and I hope we do meet again at rainbow bridge or anyplace at all. Pono your owner, momma and best friend Cindy Samson
