"When switching to Pinnacle, we recommend that you switch your pet over slowly. This is very important so that you don't disrupt your pet's digestive pattern. Changing foods will often cause vomiting or diarrhea if not done correctly. Therefore, we recommend a 5-day transition before you begin feeding Pinnacle exclusively. The switch is an easy transition that includes both Pinnacle and your pet's old brand. For the first two days, feed 20% Pinnacle and 80% of the old brand. For the next two days, feed 1/2 Pinnacle and 1/2 of your pet's old brand. On day 5, feed 80% Pinnacle and 20% of the old brand. On the 6th day, you can feel confident feeding Pinnacle for the rest of your pet's life."Feeding Directions:"The amount of food your cat requires will depend on activity, age, environment and breed. Feeding Pinnacle to your cat daily on a "free choice" basis will ensure their optimum health. Fill your cat's bowl each morning and allow them to satisfy their need to nibble throughout the day. Always provide access to clean fresh water. Adult (8 oz. cups): 4-8 lbs. 1/4 to 1/2 per day. 8-12 lbs. 1/2 to 3/4 per day. 12-16 lbs. 3/4 to 1 per day. 16-22 lbs. 1 to 1 1/3 per day. Kitten: At three to four weeks of age, supply dry or moistened Pinnacle. After weaning (about 6-8 weeks), gradually decrease the amount of moisture and allow your growing kitten to feed at will.
