Only clip nail tips to avoid cutting the quick! The quick is the easiest to see in light colored nail but difficult to distinguish in dark nails. When in doubt, seek professional advice. Always have styptic powder on hand in case of possible bleeding. Remember to reward your pet when you are finished.
