Fill litter pan with 2-3 inches of fresh cat litter. For initial use, use 14 lbs. of PETCO scoopable or clay litter. Litter pan should be scooped daily and thoroughly cleaned by removing all litter and cleaning with warm water.NOTE: As a reminder for those especially pregnant or those with suppressed immune systems, a parasite sometimes found in cat feces can transmit a disease called toxoplasmosis. Therefore, remember to always thoroughly wash your hands after handling used cat litter. Unused cat litter does not pose a toxoplasmosis threat. For further information consult your physician.
