Fresh, clean water should always be available for drinking.It is recommended that Esbilac 2nd Step be used until puppies are seven or eight weeks old when they can be fed commercial puppy or dog food as desired. All changes in diet should be made gradually over a period of one week.WeaningPuppies that are up on their feet and lapping from a bowl may be introduced to Esbilac 2nd Step. Begin by offering it as a thin gruel. As the puppies begin to eat more, add more Esbilac 2nd Step to thicken the mixture. Offer only small amounts and remove the uneaten portion after no more than two hours.Your veterinarian should be consulted for advice about the care and feeding of puppies. More or less food may be needed by individual puppies to satisfy their food requirements for optimum performance.
