I agree she needs to be in a loving enviroment. I wanted to share something with you. My neighbor had a Rat Terrier. She had him neutered and one day he was locked up with the man across the streets dog. Well there was a big to do so I got on the phone and called the vet. They said not to worry because they could still perform the act but the female would not become pregnant, UNLESS in the rare case of (I know Im going to bach this name) the male having a Crimp Orchid. I was clueless and they informed me that it was a rare disorder and the male could actually have a third testicle way up inside. So you might check into that. It might ease the tension between you and your friend, but to tell you the truth she doesnt seem like much of a person to me to just dump her dog because of her own stupid mistake. So maybe your better off with out her :)
Thank you for your help.I will keep you informed. Also thank you for your offer.I will ask my vet about that because I will be taking her back in a couple of days for test results.I just have to find her a good home because she is a very loving and a funny dog she is a little clown. She does something so funny she has her own toy bin and she will take every toy out one by one and put them all back in except for the 1 toy she finally picks out to play with.then she brings it over to you to play with her.I have noticed that she does not throw her toys forwards ,they always end up thrown behind her in the air ,she has not masterd that yet.she also loves the nylabones to chew on .I also noticed that she loves to carry bones around in her mouth.
lol sandycane...thats how ours are as well...they always throw the toys up and over their heads behind them...too funny. Pugs are the funniest little entertainers, just love 'em. And great sleeping partners...once you get past the snoring, lol.
By the way, if you have questions or anything , you can e-mail me at ********and I will answer you or help the best I can to get you and the momma through this.

luv4jacks, I think what you mean is a 'cryptorchid'. It does mean that there's at least one inside the body, but becuuse of the increased inner body heat, those retained testicles do not produce fertile and viable sperm.
Sandycane i am thinking some very nasty thoughts about your so-called friend. :P If your friend has ever left her dog alone anywhere outside she could have been bred. I see no way for your dog to be the sire, but of course DNA testing would confirm that.
So... did the dog get left at your house and the friend is gone or are they still both around?
I would say bite the bullet on this one. Take the dog, thank the friend for allowing you to "take responsibility" for what your neutered dog has done.. tee hee... and be sure the pug gets what she needs. Of course it is not your responsibility, of course it wasn't your dog, but she'll never say that, so just thank her for allowing you to take care of the situation. Argh... people are so lame. You can ensure everyone's health and safety, and your friend can go on her way, living without a brain.
As you are one who plans ahead... Maybe this is your sign that you can't always plan ahead! :) Maybe you are being sent a litter of pugs because you need some more pugs in your life, you just didn't know it! :) Keep her! Keep her! :) I am not being mean, I am the same way as you, so I understand. Good luck!
Hi all,its been a long day.I took off work today and called the breeder where my friend got the pug from.I met with her today and she said it will depend on what the vet says tomarrow on how she decides to handle the situation.the breeder is going to the appointment tomarrow because she wants to hear for herself what the vet says.My friend got a eye opener from her that I dont think she'll ever forget ,lets just say the breeder was very up front and vocal. To answer your question yes the pug is at my house .yes and my friend is staying here with my family right now because her house that she bought is not ready for her to move into yet

I did so hope the breeder would give your friend an earful!! Good for her....its a shame you had to be in the middle of it though. I dont understand why you had to call the breeder though...she was the one who bought the dog, didnt have her fixed, then decides to dump her when she gets pregnant....grrrr. It should have been her place to have to call and explain it and take the day off, go to the vet and such....your a good person!!
sandycane.if you want, i will give you my email addy. i live in graham, washington, near fort lewis. my brother and his wife have a really nice home in morton. their kids are grown and gone. they have two pugs and were talking about another one. i can call them and see if they would be interested. she would have an excellent home with them.
Thank you ,Im not doing this for my friend because I'm not thinking highly of her right now.I am doing this for mindy.she deserves to have a home where someone will love her always and act responsibly and never give up on her. I have to help .we took along time before we got our own dog and we taught the children that owning a animal is a big responsibility and decision so therefore it will take about a year or more before we get one of our own.so you see my reasoning for helping is based on the fundamental teachings that I already had set in place.I have to help because I feel and see six little eyes watching me(lo)sorry Dusty just read your post.I live in kent ,thats not very far from them I dont think.I already met with the breeder I want to see what she says tomarrow after talking with the vet.thankyou but I need to wait and see what happens tomarrow.

hopefully things work out for the dog. i was just looking at a possible option for her. i cant imagine anyone who truly loved their pet, not wanting it because it got pregnant. the dog is not responsible and should not be punished for it. at least she has you to care about her welfare.
Your friend is being a total jerk and an ignoramous. I have a feeling she just doesn't want a dog at all in her new house and is using you as a excuse to pin this on and make you feel guilty enough to take her dog off her hands. She was the one who screwed up, she should be forced to live with it. Unfortunately, the poor dog is better off with you than in a shelter. ( I can't believe she is heartless enough to put a pregnant bitch in a shelter.)
wow...... miracles can happen but don't think in this case. If your male is fixed then unless he didn't take which can happen and that would be the only way but for the girl pug I do hope that she was taken by a small dog and not a big one. Good Luck
I happen to be the friend of sandy.I dont care what she says her dog got my bitch pregnant and it is her fault.I happen to believe maybe she should find a new vet because he botched it.She and the breeder can stick it in there a$$ as far as that goes.I also plan on telling them just that when they get back from the vet.I do not think it is right for her to get on here and talk badly of me.I am no monster, like she has portrayed me.I just wanted to set the record straight and my name is lorena and I am not afraid to say it.
i didnt see anywhere she was talking badly about you. this kind of thing should not cause such a rift between two friends. its not a life altering experience. if the dog was not neutered properly, it was not HER fault. if you did not want puppies, you should have had her spayed beforehand. the responsibility lies more on you to have had your dog spayed. all this could have been avoided had that been done. please dont lay blame on each other. concentrate now on doing whats best for the dog. she is the innocent victim here.
I had planned on doing that at a later time.I payed a lot of money for this dog since she is Akc reg.and I just was not sure if I was going to keep her .I figured it would be easier to get rid of her if she could still have puppies.I dont really care anyways now.I have way to much stuff that is more important than worrying about a stupid dog anyways. What ever turns them on I guess to each their own.
" .I have way to much stuff that is more important than worrying about a stupid dog anyways "
there are no stupid dogs...........only stupid owners. your comment just goes to show how little you really care about your dog. she needs to be placed in a loving home , where people love her no matter what. my brother and his wife are wonderful people. their two pugs are their children. i would like to see her with people like them, that would treat her as family.
